Dongni is enthusiastic in architecture and dedicated to lifelong career in this profession. She received her Master of Architecture from University of Pennsylvania and Bachelor of Architecture from Tianjin University where she won multiple awards and scholarships. Her design projects were published in "Pressing Matters 4" "Asset Architecture" and curated in "Year End Show" Exhibition (Philadelphia) and “National Digital Architecture Exhibition” (Tianjin). She assisted program director in research and advanced architecture studio teaching. She was a student ambassador of Penn Design and Tianjin University.
She has worked in international architecture firms on various projects including architecture, urban design, furniture and exhibition. In ADEPT Architects, she participated in 17km2 “Green Loops City” urban planning international competition which won the 1st prize international competition in 2013. In Contemporary Architectural Practice, she bridged PennDesign and leading Chinese architects and took part in curating the exhibition “Duration: An Investigation on Architecture Practice in China” hold in Penn Wharton China Center. She joined MVMK Architecture in 2016 and gained years of professional experience in the full scope of architectural project design, from preliminary design through final construction in 20+ various scale residential, commercial, mixed-use buildings. To name a few, as a project architect, she has dedicated her passion and effort in 35-story mixed-use highrise at 2966 Kennedy Boulevard, 613 Grove Street “St Lucy” mixed-use development, 100 Colden Street in Jersey City, 321 Main Street in Hackensack, 176 Riverside Ave in Redbank, 2345 West Street in New York City. Her complete projects include 722 Jefferson, 70 Monroe in Hoboken, 198 Wayne Street in Jersey City.
Dongni has in-depth detail-attentive experience in coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors. She is familiar with NY & NJ zoning and building codes, with wide experience in attending meetings with and addressing comments from zoning boards, planning boards, the historic preservation office, building departments, and neighborhood committees. She is proficient in multiple 2D & 3D computer programs and strong in efficient and organizing skills.
